Get excited and mark your calendars! The date has been set for Turtle Team's 3rd Annual Wildlife Art Auction: Saturday May 4, 2013, 12-4pm. This year's auction will be very different than the last two. While we will still have the auction items up for bidding for a couple days at the vet school, the final event will be held off campus at the gorgeous Babylon Restaurant in downtown Raleigh. In addition to the silent auction, several larger items will be up for bid in a live auction and there will be a live band, food from local restaurants and beverages. A minimal entrance fee will be charged so you can spend much more on the awesome items donated from around the world by our generous artists! Tickets are currently on sale, $20 before the event (gets you two glasses of wine and hors d'oeuvres) and $25 at the door! For a preview of the items up for bidding look here and to order tickets please contact This e-mail addr...
It's with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to this year's fabulous past presidents, Anne Meyer and Kahlina Frey. As they move on to the exciting clinical fourth year, we will be sure to miss their buoyant good spirits and welcomed wisdom and experience. They assure us that they will still be checking in on us and get their weekly TRT fix! Thank you for all you've done to improve both TRT and the hundreds of turtles from across the state!
Our second annual Arts & Crafts Silent Auction to benefit the Turtle Rescue Team was an awesome success! We raised more than twice as much as the total proceeds from last year's events. We couldn't have done it without the help of the generous artists from around the world that were willing to donate their art to help our shelled patients. See their work here!

Turtle Rescue Team is a non-profit organization run by veterinary students at North Carolina State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. We provide medical, surgical and husbandry services free of charge in the hope of releasing rehabilitated turtles back into the wild. Every year, Turtle Rescue Team sees and treats between 200 to 300 wild turtles, reptiles and amphibians.
